The Irish County Candle Company.
What is Your County Candles Scent?
The County Westmeath Inspired Candle has a masculine marine fragrance opening with citrus, bergamot, apple and a hint of blackcurrant leading into a heart of ozonic notes, rose, lily and violet enhanced by gentle herbs resting on a base of precious woods, patchouli, amber and musk.
This is a 230g soy wax wood wick candle with a burn time of up to 60 hours. All candles are hand-poured in Ireland.

My name is Laura Rahill and I am the proud owner of the Cuimhne Candles which was established in March of 2021.
I am a Physics and Biology teacher from County Louth. I have always enjoyed crafting and creating and loved taking part in art camps growing up where I learned the likes of candle making, basket weaving and ceramics. With the extra time I had during lockdown in Ireland I decided to revisit candle making. With a science degree under my belt, I had a better appreciation for the science behind candles and enjoyed the process of experimenting with different fragrances and waxes.
The very first Cuimhne Candle that I made was a gift to my brother in the states who was graduating from college. Due to the pandemic we could not travel to the US to celebrate together as a family, so I figured that by creating a County Louth candle, I could try and bring a piece of home to him. After receiving his gift, my brother insisted that I make more county candles, and the rest is history.
We are now stocked in over 30 stores nationwide, and even overseas in the UK and US. The journey so far has been incredible, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds.
